The recent fires in Napa and Sonoma counties have been nothing less then devastating for thousands of families who have been affected, either losing everything including their homes and possessions or having to flee to one of the many evacuation centers with literally nothing but the clothes they are wearing.  Even a few of our Shockers players families have been affected by the fires.  With all of this in mind and the great need to help these families in their hour of great need, the 14U Shockers – Webber team sprang into action and decided to help any way that they could.

On Sunday, October 15th at the Nob Hill grocery store in Martinez, CA., the Shockers players and parents conducted a donation drive for the North Bay fire victims.  The team worked hard all day collecting as many supplies as possible including bottled water, blankets, sleeping bags and many other items that were collected and loaded up into pickup trucks.  The supplies were then transported by the Shockers parents and coaches to a relief site in the Vallejo area.  “I couldn’t be more proud of this group and the Shockers organization should be very proud as well!” exclaimed Coach Mike Webber, the head coach for the 14U Shockers team.  The Shockers organization would like to thank the 14U athletes for coming out and making a difference.  The supplies that they collected will go to good use to families in great need.  Great job ladies!
